Melvin Broad

The death of Melvin Burton Broad of Maplehurst occurred on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Moose Mountain. Born March 15, 1952 he was the son of Burton and Lois (Acton) Broad.

Melvin is survived by 5 children, Joe Denny, Chris Broad, Emily Broad, Shelly Broad and Kelly Broad; 8 grandchildren, Tye, Mato, Gabriel, Finn, Grady, Sullivan, Madison and Quinn; his father, Burton and his mother, Lois; 7 siblings, Sharon Reeleder (Irwin), Sheila Hargrove (Cecil), Doug Broad, Donnie Broad (Cheryl), Reginald Broad (Lynn), Glenn Broad (Tammy) and Cora Lee Broad, 1 brother in law, Dalton Clark; 1 sister in law, Marlene Broad and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was predeceased by 4 siblings, Maxine Clark, Ervon Broad, Winston Broad, Shirley Mobray (Allan); 1 niece, Tracey Mowbray; 1 great niece, Katie McCullough.

Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors on Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 6-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at 2:00 pm from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. Pastor Dwayne Broad will officiate. Interment will be in the Wharton Cemetery, Upper Kent.
