Lillian MacDougall

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mum, Lillian Eileen MacDougall at the Victoria Glen Manor in Perth-Andover on September 10, 2015. Mum was born to Angus and Sadie (Davidson) Stevenson in Upper Kintore on July 16, 1926 and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Mum was a member of Kincardine United Church and the Bath UCW. When we think of mum, the first few things that come to mind are: her aprons, her teapot, her baby booties, her knuckles, her Parker House rolls, her ginger snap cookies and her crocheted doilies/embroidery work.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Vaughan, her brothers Gordon, Ronald and Stewart Stevenson, her sister Audrey MacDougall, nephew John Stevenson, and niece Brenda (MacDougall) Bunting.

Lillian is survived by her children Angus MacDougall (Don MacNair) of Toronto, Anne Brooker of Florenceville-Bristol and Peter MacDougall (Ginette) of Halifax; her grandchildren Melissa Pearson (Dennis Fury) of Sydney, NS , James Brooker (Jenna Harvey) Greenfield, Sadie Brooker (Jordan Diamond) of Johnville; her great-grandchildren Daniel MacPhee, Lily and Ava Fury of Sydney NS and Oliver Brooker due in November. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Linda and Susan Stevenson and Gordon Stevenson of Ontario, Anita DeMerchant (Donnie), Gloria Martin (Merle) , Kevin MacDougall (Debbie), Shirley Green (Mike), Sandra Bishop (Wilfred), Jimmy MacDougall (April), Joan Crockett (Allison), Brent MacDougall (Sally), Angela Voutier (Bob) and Paul MacDougall (Peggy) and their extended families.

Visiting hours will be at Faith Memorial United Church on Sunday, September 13th from 1:00 … 2:30 pm and funeral service following at 3:00 pm with internment in the Kincardine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kincardine Cemetery, Faith Memorial United Church, Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Society. We would like to thank the staff at Victoria Glen Manor for the loving care she received.
