Hazel G. Holmes

The death of Hazel Gertrude Holmes of Upper Kent occurred on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Moncton City Hospital. Born October 6, 1946 she was the daughter of the late Myles and Bessie (McGray) Hawthorne. She was also predeceased by 2 brothers, Kevin and Earl and 1 sister, Marion.

Hazel is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Robert; 4 children, Pam Fitzherbert (Roger), Troy Holmes (Bonita), Trevor Holmes (Angel) and Jason Holmes (Stacey); 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 6 siblings , Donald Hawthorne (Geraldine), Wanda Arbeau, Barb Kinnney (Emery), Myles "Junior" Hawthorne ( Vivian), Inez Belanger and Betty Wheeler as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held from the Beechwood Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 2:00 pm from the church. Rev. John Tremblett will officiate. The interment will be held at a later date in the Wharton Cemetery. Donations made to the Beechwood Baptist Church Building Fund would be appreciated. L.R.
