Eugene L. Broad

The death of Eugene Lester Broad of Slave Lake, AB occurred on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Royal Alexander Hospital, Edmonton, AB. Born July 9, 1931 in Bath he was the son of the late Willis Broad and Laura Broad (Giberson). He was also predeceased by his son, Clinton; 1 sister, Glenna Patterson; 2 brothers, Ronald and Clifford and 1 daughter in law, Cathy Broad.

Eugene is survived by his 12 children, Gregory (Lucy) of Slave Lake, AB, Brian (Cindy) of Westlock, AB, Terry of Slave Lake, AB, Linda (Bryan) of Listowel, ON, Larry of Toronto, ON, Garry (Susan) of Slave Lake, AB, Ricky (Margaret) of Slave Lake, AB, Sandra (Robert) of Bristol, NB, Wade (Marion) of St. Catherines, ON, Jeff (Richard) of Fredericton, NB, Mike (Janette) of Slave Lake, AB and Tracey(Rick) of Whitby, ON, their Mother, Attie Broad of Fredericton, NB; 25 grandchildren, Dianne, Laura, Karen, Matthew, Christopher, Clinton, Shawn, Kylie, Wesley, Wendy, Sabrina, Nicholas, Janis, Jarvis, Desiree, Nicole, Carly, Jacob, Candace, Chauna , Codie, Kevin, Millisa, Kailey and Emily; 45 Great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; 1 brother, Anson Broad as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held from the Holmesville Free Will Baptist Church on Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 1-2 pm. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm. Rev. Carl DeMerchant and Rev. Toben Steeves will officiate. Interment will be in the Wharton Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations made to the Holmesville Free Will Baptist Church would be appreciated. L.R.
