Florence Knowlton
1923-2016
Florence worked side by side with her husband Benn on the farm in Brookville for many years. After the farm, she worked as a house cleaner and potato-house laborer. For relaxation, Florence loved sewing, knitting and especially quilting. Each grandchild has one of her homemade quilts. Her greatest pleasure was having all the family home and cooking a big meal. Cooking with her grandchildren was one of her greatest delights.
Florence is survived by her children: Elva (Keith) McIntosh , Lelia (Philip)Stairs , Perry (Francine) Knowlton, Vernice (Robert)Pelletier, 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and her siblings: Mae Harrington, Fernand Estey, Leo Boucher, and John Boucher.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Benn and her siblings: Lydia Boucher, Andrew Boucher and Diane Bennett.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to Florence's special friends/ staff from the WI Home in Woodstock. Also to the URVH Nurses, Dr. Marco and other physicians for their wonderful care and concern.
