John White

The death of John Douglas Hazen White of Divide occurred on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Born July 4, 1932 he was the son of the late Edward and Lily (Quinn) White. He was also predeceased by his 5 brothers, Henry, Austin, Fred, Sandy and Clarence; 5 sisters, Edna, Georgina, Nellie, Anna and Isabel as well as 5 infant siblings.

John is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Donna; 1 daughter, Melissa White (Omer Richard); 3 grandchildren, Megan Trefry (Sean), Michael Hodgin and Annie Richard; 1 sister, Avis Stoddard (Allison); 4 sisters in law, Lila MacMaster (Leslie), Shirley White, Margaret Cote (Omer) and Rosemary Dyer as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 4-8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Stephen Brown will officiate. Interment will be in the Lakeview United Cemetery at a later date.
