Geraldine J. Brooker

The death of Geraldine Janetta Brooker of Centreville occurred on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Born December 10, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Claude and Bertha (Campbell) Doherty. She was also predeceased by her 2 children, LeRoy and Lanson; 5 brothers, Merle, Albert, Garnet, Winston and Arthur (infant).

Geraldine is survived by her 7 children, Leighton Brooker (Lauraine), Leah Sparrow (Gordon), Lou Ann Robson, Lorrie Lucas (Michael), Lester Brooker (Cheryl), Lottie Nye (Stephen) and Levita Hollingsworth (Rodney); 24 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; 5 siblings, Henry Doherty (Sandra), Audrey Bloodsworth, Margaret Ruff (Winston), Carolyn Brewer (Garth) and Judy Crouse; 2 sisters in law, Hazel Doherty and Barb Doherty as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Sunday, April 24, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 4:00 pm from the Tracey Mills Baptist Church. Rev. Ralph Hamminga will officiate. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
