James C. Rattray

The death of James Cecil Rattray of River de Chute occurred on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton. Born February 13, 1921 in Tilley he was the son of the late Mann and Lila (Pirie) Rattray. He was also predeceased by his wife, Mary; 3 children, Brian Rattray, Myrna McLean and Sharon Kilcollins; 1 grandson, Christopher Smith; 3 great grandsons Brendan and Brayden Till and Cody McLean.

James is survived by his 5 children, Carmen Smith (Claude), Betty Nicholson (Wade), Barbara Matthews, John Rattray (Elizabeth) and Paul Rattray; daughter in law, Carol Rattray; 21 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren; 1 sister, Elaine Hatheway as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held from the Pentecostal Lighthouse, River de Chute on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 2:00 pm from the church. Pastor Claude Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the River de Chute Cemetery.
