Irene S. Hoyt

Irene St. Claire (Lee) Hoyt passed away on December 22, 2017 at the River View Manor, Bath NB at the age of 93. Born in Beaufort, NB, July 24, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Mae (McEwan) Lee and wife of the late James Hoyt. Besides her parents she was predeceased by siblings, Theodore, Florence, Georgina, Frances, Margaret and Dorothy.

Irene is survived by her son, Gary (Roberta) of Gordonsville, NB; 2 granddaughters, Terri Dixon (Gordon) and Jennifer Veinot (Scott) both of Halifax NS; one grandson, Kevin Hoyt (Robyn) of Glassville, NB; three great grandchildren, Phillip Dixon of Summerside, PEI, Nicholas and Claire Veinot of Halifax, NS; two brothers, Earl Lee and Bob Lee (Judy) as well as several nieces and nephews.
Irene was a member of the Anglican Church Women, Glassville. She enjoyed playing cards and doing crossword puzzles. She was known for baking wonderful apple pies, chocolate cake and molasses cookies. Her turkey dinners are often mentioned by all the grandchildren. Her tea pot was always on for any visitor.

Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville -Bristol on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 12:00 - 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Robert LeBlanc will officiate. Interment will be in the Christ Church Anglican Cemetery, Glassville at a later date. Donations made to Christ Church Anglican Cemetery or River View Manor would be appreciated.
