Elva M. Dixon

With her son at her side, Elva Mae Dixon formerly of Tilley, NB age 102 passed away on March 29, 2018 at the Victoria Glen Manor, Perth Andover, NB. Born May 4, 1915 in California Settlement, NB she was the daughter of the late Alton and Lucinda (Shorey) Oakes. She was also predeceased by her husband, Carl; 2 children, Dale Dixon and Naida Mae Evans; 2 grandsons, Kerry Dixon and Randall Evans as well as 10 siblings.

Elva is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Shaw (Claude) of Minden, ON; her son Nathan Dixon (Judith) of Carlingford, NB; 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; her 2 brothers, Vernon Oakes of Bristol, Conn and Ellis Oakes of California Settlement, NB as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

A visitation will be held from Calvary Tabernacle on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 1-2 pm. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm from the church. Rev D.T. Ferrell will officiate. The interment will be in the Currie Cemetery, Tilley. Donations made to Foreign Missions through Calvary Tabernacle, Perth Andover would be appreciated. L.R.
