Aileen Margaret "Peggy" Galipeau
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Aileen Margaret (Peggy) Galipeau, on April 12, 2018 in Halifax, NS. Born in Halifax, NS on September 6, 1933 she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Chambers) Flinn the eldest of 8 children. She was also predeceased by her husband, Richard (Dick); 1 brother, Clyde; 1 sister, Ruby; 2 endeared brothers in law, Des and Doc.

Peggy was blessed with many talents and donated her time and efforts to charities such as Skate Canada, Aids Coalition, IWK Hospital and St. Leo's Catholic Church where she was active for many years.

Peggy is survived by her 4 children, Patrick (Jan), Heather (Gary), Sandra (Lloyd) and Michael; 5 siblings, James (Lillian), John (Sylvia), Mary, Pauline (Don) and Deborah (Rudy); 1 sister in law, Kay; 9 grandchildren, Julie (Frank), Johanna (Andrew), Jamie (Lacey), Jennifer (Dane), Janet, Susan (Kyle), Anna, Ben and Sophia; 6 great grandchildren, Leo, Ophelia, Cloey, Teagan, Ruby and Ali as well as several nieces and nephews.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11:00 am from St. Leo's Catholic Church, Florenceville-Bristol. Fr. Anthony Ekpe as celebrant. The interment will follow in St. Leo's Catholic Cemetery.


Peggy's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caregivers at Northwood Centre where Peggy lived her last 5 years.
