Helen M. Denny

The death of Helen Mary Denny of Johnville occurred on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Born March 1, 1931 in Johnville she was the daughter of the late Charles and Geneva (Dooley) Gallagher. Helen was also predeceased by her husband, Basil; 5 siblings, Walter, Edmund, Mary, Winnie and Donald.

Our beloved mother was a very humble, giving person to all who knew her as she was always putting others needs before her own. Mom was especially known for her delicious homemade breads, sweets, and bountiful meals.She and Dad passed on their musical talents to each of their eight children. Mom loved listening to the many tunes of her children, sang live, or recorded. Mom had a deep passion for her beautiful flowers and loved to watch the hummingbirds come to her feeder. She has been reunited now with her loved ones and awaits her heavenly rewards and the rest of her family’s arrival.

Helen is survived by her 8 children, Wayne Denny (Linda), Neville Denny (Kim), Karen Nixon (Bruce), Terry Denny (Kim), Gregory Denny, Janice Broad (Dwayne), Lewis Denny (Cindy) and Patrick Denny (Rhonda); 21 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; 4 siblings, Gregory Gallagher, Gerald Gallagher (Ruth), Monica Dugan and Marilyn Denny (Ken Brooker) as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 2076 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 6-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 1:00 pm from the Holmesville Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Wayne Denny will be officiating. The interment will follow in the Holmesville Cemetery.
