Kelly L. Hatfield

1977-2022

Kelly L. Hatfield
Kelly Lynn Hatfield of Centreville always had courage in difficult times. Unfortunately on Friday, May 13, 2022 she lost her battle with mental illness. Kelly was born October 28, 1977 in Saint John, NB
Kelly’s children were the most important thing to her and everyone knew that as they were a part of every conversation you had with her.

Kelly always had a tremendous love of animals. As a child she would regularly be hanging out with the animals at her grandfather’s farm. Her compassion and love of animals was special and she grew up with lots of pets and would watch and listen to birds for hours. Her love of animals never wavered throughout her life. She recently got a third dog, Willow, to go with her other two furry babies Milo and Mya.
Kelly had a love of sports. She was an avid Steelers fan and could often be found on the softball field playing each summer. As devoted as she was to her softball team, she was known to skip a tournament to drive to the annual family barbeque. At the barbeque, she was not afraid to show off her throwing arm in the annual water balloon fight and her competitive fun loving spirit in family board games and cards.
Summer fun was usually on an ATV trip with her husband surrounded by friends and family throughout bike trails near home. Her love of the outdoors also involved weekend camping trips, canoeing and kayaking at Riley Brook or hanging out with friends on her deck.

Kelly is survived by her common law husband, Dana McAdam; her 4 children who were the loves of her life, Haley Paul, Abby Paul, Emma Paul and Shay Paul; her parents, Hilda Krumrei (Wally) and Donald Hatfield (Jean); 4 siblings, Kerry Hatfield (Philip Osborne), Erin MacVicar (Jeremy Parlee), Adam MacVicar (Melissa Crandall) and D.J. Hatfield; nieces and nephews, Jorden, Aidan, Ally, Kyle, Jensen, Jayce, Clair e and Owen; aunts and uncles, Glen Fanjoy (Richard), Merlin Shay, Norman Shay, Alfred Shay (Gloria), Audrey Burchill, Margie Langille, Cathy MacVicar, Cindy Hatfield and Gail Currie.
Kelly was predeceased by her grandparents, Elmer and Myrtle Shay Don and Mildred Hatfield; 2 aunts, Eleanor Lavoie (Bob) and Carol Quinlan (Ben).

Respecting Kelly's wishes there will be no formal services. A Celebration of Kelly's life will be held at a later date with her family in attendance. For those who wish, donations made to the Mental Health Association would be appreciated. L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors are entrusted with the arrangements. (506) 392-1115
