Gerald T. Pickard

The death of Gerald Thomas Pickard of Monquart occurred on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Born November 9, 1925 in Bath he was the son of the late John and Helen (Griffin) Pickard and husband of the late Mary "Mollie" (Colton) Pickard. He was also predeceased by his daughter, Clara; 2 granddaughters, Jessica and Charity; 4 siblings, Rita Simchen, Raymond, Theodore and John Jr. Pickard.

Gerald is survived by his 13 children, John Pickard, Mary White (Gerald), Michael Pickard (Margaret), Patricia Varty (Doug), Tony Pickard (Patti), Gerard Pickard (Sue), Edward Pickard (Sarah), Katharine Brennan (Peter), Joanne Pickard, Emily Comeau (Keith), Denise MacLeod (Todd), Joseph Pickard, Earl Pickard (Karen); 30 grandchildren, Brendan, Michael, James, Colton, Jeremy, Justin, Kathryn, Kathleen, Anna, Ryan, Erin, Dever, Louise, Helen, Julie, Josie, John, Mollie, Keegan, Sean, Ryan, Deidra, Leah, Alexandre, Samuel, Hannah, Gracie, Ethan, Griffin and Jack; 1 son in law Rob Davenport; 3 siblings, James Pickard, (Joyce), Clarence Pickard (Theresa) and Gregory Pickard (Carmel) and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held from St. John the Evangelist Church Johnville on Monday, March 18 , 2013 from 3 -9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 11:00 am from the church. Fr. David Fulton as celebrant. Interment will be in the Johnville Cemetery at a later date. Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Cystic Fibrosis Foundations or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated. L.R.
