Violet E. Giberson

The death of Violet Evelyn Giberson of Bath occurred on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at River View Manor. Born in Glassville on July 6, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Annie (Quinn) Doherty. She was also predeceased by her husband, Charlie; son in law Verdell Budrow; 3 brothers, Orin, Ivan and Frank Doherty; 1 sister, Rena Nixon.

Violet is survived by her 3 children, John Giberson (Ulla), Ellen McIntosh (Henry) and Shirley Budrow; 5 grandchildren, Vicki Smith (Derick), Stefan Giberson (Denise), Sterling McIntosh (Jill), Rainer Giberson (Kelly) and Jill Brennan (Dennis); 7 great grandchildren, Logan and Joshua Smith, Chelsey and Colby Giberson, Jordan Giberson, Sam and Drew Brennan and several nieces, nephews and extended family.


Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 2:00 pm from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mary Taylor officiating. Interment will be in the Glassville United Cemetery. Donations made to the River View Manor, Martin Kilfoil Fund or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
