Claude L. McBrine
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claude Leroy McBrine of Glassville which occurred on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the Upper River Valley Hospital with his loving family by his side. Born October 14, 1929, he was the son of the late Harry and Muriel (Anderson) McBrine. He was also predeceased by his wife Jessie, a son, Darren, and best friend and companion Nada Richard.

Claude is survived by children Hilton McBrine (Edwina), Glassville; Brad McBrine (Diana), Woodstock; Connie Haines (Neville), Glassville and Dusty McBrine (Sherry Weistche, special friend), Wemindji, Que.; stepchildren Jim Richard (Claire), New Zealand; Brian Richard, Alberta; Lance Richard (Pam), Nova Scotia and Danica Richard (Jay Tremblay), Panama; 14 grandchildren/step-grandchildren: Delbert McBrine (Camille Evans), Ronnie Haines, Kristy Haines (Doug Conrad), Ann MacPhee (Chris), Naomi McLaughlin, Leah Larocque, Sarah Larocque, Amber Hussey (Joel), Megan McGinnis (Lucas Tyrell), Emily Worst (Michael), Phillip Richard, Holly Richard (Andrew McClelland), Connor Shannon, Francesca, many great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends, and very special dog Rudy.

Claude was Manager of Foreston Seed Farm for several years before retiring. Prior to that he worked at Crabbe Lumber Ltd., and he and Harry operated their own farm for a number of years. He loved animals, and enjoyed working in the woods and gardening.

Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors at 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville on Thursday, August 15 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be on Friday, August 16 at 2:00 PM from the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Shirley Noseworthy will be officiating. Interment will be in the Christ Anglican Cemetery in Glassville.
