Born in Coutts, Alberta, Neville was predeceased by his father, William Rea (Catherine Platzer), his mother, Ruth Stanford (Lloyd Young) and his brother Jim, all of Alberta.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Wendy (Gibb) Rea, their son Kevin (Lesley) in Georgetown ON, daughter Shelley (Chipman Hunter) of Florenceville, NB and daughter Colleen (Bertram Schneider) of Winnipeg, MB; grandchildren Leigh and Jaime Hunter, Tristan and Hannah Schneider, and Meghan and Will Rea; and, his loving sister Ardeth (Hristos Kariotis), of Toronto, brothers Walter Young (Sonja) of Coaldale, AB and Fred Young of Penhold, AB, sister-in-law Joan Rea of Calgary, extended family members including other Young siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends.

After completing his university degree in Political Science and History, Neville’s career as a federal public servant took the family, by choice, to Ottawa, Fort Smith and Yellowknife, NWT, Winnipeg, and Toronto. His retirement years were spent in Arnprior, ON and for the past 10 years in Florenceville, NB.

In recent years, Neville was known in the community for his love of “scooting” on the trail, giving treats to dogs along the way, and special carrots to ‘Dusty’, a horse that watched for him daily.

The family wishes to sincerely thank Dr. Clayton Marco for the wonderful care he gave Neville for the past 10 years.

As per his wishes, a private family ceremony will be held at Stavely, Alberta, near the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, where his remains will be interred near others from the Rea family.
