L. Dorthee McCarthy

The death of Laura "Dorothee" McCarthy of Charleston occurred on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at River View Manor, Bath. Born July 12, 1935 in Bluebell, NB she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Victoria (Cote) Babineau. She was also predeceased by 6 siblings, Edwin Babineau, Julianna Babineau, Francois Babineau, Doris Michaud, Henry Babineau and Robert Babineau.

Dorothee is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Earl; 3 children; Lauralee Grosset (Barry), Brian McCarthy (Adele) and Elwood McCarthy; 5 grandchildren, Jacquelyn and Kristen O'Day and Isaac, Aaron and Eric McCarthy; 5 great grandchildren; 8 siblings, Richard Babineau, Anne Peretto, Levi Babineau, John Babineau, Geraldine Hildreth, Edwina Grimard, Bella Kirby and Patricia Grecco as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Respecting Dorothee's wishes a private graveside service will be held in the Perth Andover Baptist Cemetery. For those who wish donations made to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated. L.R.
