Orval C. Lawrence

The death of Orval Chesley Lawrence of Knoxford occurred on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. Born October 13, 1934 in Knoxford he was the son of the late Idris and Myrtle (Brown) Lawrence. He was also predeceased by 1 daughter, Pam and 1 brother, Roland.

Orval is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Maxine; 2 children, Debby Paget (Melvin) and Jody Lawrence (Ruth); 4 grandchildren, Adam, Paige, Ashley and Christopher; 1 great grandaughter, Shelby; 1 brother, Leslie Lawrence (Connie); 2 sisters, Opal Lee and Lorena Grass (Philip) as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held from the Knoxford Praying Band Church on Friday, September 12, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Andy DeRier will officiate. Interment will be in the Lower Knoxford Cemetery. Donations made to the Upper River Valley Cancer Support Group or to Cystic Fibrosis would be appreciated. L.R.
