Marion L. Greene

The death of Marion Louise Greene of Florenceville occurred on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at her home. Born February 28, 1926 in Florenceville she was the daughter the late Murray and Myrtle (Glenn) Smith and wife of the late Frederick Greene. She was also predeceased by 1 son, Doug Greene; 2 brothers, David and Ernie Smith and 1 sister, Elsie Tompkins.

Marion was a life member of the Women's Institute and also a Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Marion is survived by her 3 children, Gerene Gaines (Len); Randy Greene and Stephen Greene (Janice); 7 grandchildren, Bill Gaines (Susan), Mike Gaines (Kelly), Frankie Greene, Selena Greene, Amy Greene, Justin Greene and Shaleen Greene; 4 great grandchildren, Sarah, Kate, Rori and Reese Gaines; 1 sister, Mildred Minty (Ron); 2 sisters in law, Connie Bosse and Jeanette Greene; 1 brother in law, Richard Greene (Bess); special friend, Mildred Doherty as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held Sunday, September 21, 2014 at 2:00 pm from Faith Memorial United Church. Rev. Susan Estabrooks will officiate. Interment will be in the Florenceville Community Cemetery.
