Richard G. Trafford

The death of Richard George Trafford of Tracey Mills occurred on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Born January 9, 1943 in Royalton he was the son of the late Gerald Trafford and Donna Graham. He was also predeceased by his son, Gregory Trafford.

Richard was an outdoorsman at heart, he enjoyed kayaking, canoeing and golfing. His grandchildren were the apple of his eye spending time with them was very special. Richard was very passionate about his work, he traveled the world because of it. Richard also loved animals his pets brought him great comfort.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Diane; 1 son, Steven Trafford (Janice); 4 grandchildren, Megan, Cole, Jackson and Jenna; 8 siblings, Thomas Trafford (Joyce), Ruth Dickinson, Verna McLeod (John), Gerry Trafford (Jane), Larry Trafford (Holly), Jeff Trafford (Dave), Tony Trafford (Nicole) and Tammy McIntosh (Ross) as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A private interment will be held at a later date. Donations made to the Extra Mural Program or the Canadian Red Cross would be appreciated.
