C. Walter Wry

The death of C. Walter Wry of Upper Kent occurred on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Hotel Dieu Hospital, Perth Andover. Born August 24, 1937 in Moncton, NB he was the son of the late Charles and Margaret (Matheson) Wry. He was also predeceased by his brother, Donald and 1 sister in law, Elaine.

Walter always was there to lend a helping hand and was involved in his community. He enjoyed gardening, and tinkering around the house. In later years he spent much of his time looking after the care and maintenance of the Wharton Cemetery in Upper Kent.

Walter is survived by his loving wife, Sally; 6 children, Shawna Boutot (Doug) of Wells, Maine, Jill Wry (Roch Ouellet) of Ottawa, ON, Nancy Wry - Wilton (John) of Halifax, NS, Charles Wry of Woodstock, NB, Jeffrey Wry of Moncton, NB and Dana Wry (Amy) of Bradford, ON; 5 grandchildren, Allyson, Katelyn, Alexandra, Olivia and Duncan; 4 siblings, Louise Wry of Richmond Hill, ON, Sybil Coleman (Mark) of Beverly Mass, Douglas Wry (Fran) of Saskatoon, SK and David Wry of Woodstock, NB; 1 sister in law, Barb Wry of Canoe, BC as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Beechwood United Baptist Church. Rev. John Tremblett will officiate. Interment will be in the Wharton Cemetery at a later date.
