Bernice Blackie

Bernice Doreen Blackie age 88 formerly of Florenceville passed away at the Hotel Dieu Hospital, Perth Andover, on March 24, 2015. Bernice was born in Maplehurst on April 2, 1927 the daughter of the late Turney and Ida (Golder) Broad. She was also predeceased by her brother, Perley Broad; 3 sisters, Marina Tyson, Margaret Sylvester and Muriel VanDeMark.

Bernice is survived by 1 brother, Ashby Broad (Lois) of Maplehurst, NB; 3 sisters, Rayma Veinot (Vance) of Halifax, NS, Vida Hargrove of Presque Isle, Maine and Pearl Broad of Montreal, PQ as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 1-2 pm with a funeral service following at 2:00 pm from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Oral McAffee will officiate. Interment will be in the Florenceville Community Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
