Barbara Leahey

The death of Barbara Jo Leahey of Wicklow occurred on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the Upper River Valle Hospital, Waterville. Born June 18, 1946 in Dalhousie she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Marion (Clifford) Allen. She was also predeceased by her brother, Bill.

Barb was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Teaching was her passion. Her career span over 32 years in many locations from Saint John, Gaspe Bay, Dalhousie, Jacquet River and Florenceville influencing many students throughout those years. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Barb is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Paul; 2 sons, Christopher Leahey (Elena) and Kelly Leahey (Eunkyung); 2 grand daughters, Alexis and Anne; 1 sister, Coleen MacGarvie, several nieces, nephews and extended family.

A celebration of Barb’s Life will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Sunday, March 29, 2015 from 1-4 pm.
