C. Rose Canam

The death of Carmilla Rose Canam of Wicklow occurred on Friday, April 17, 2015 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Born March 7, 1939 in Sydney, NS she was the daughter of the late William and Florence (Sutherland) Johnston. She was also predeceased by her 9 siblings, William, Mickey, Tony, Sambo, Art, Mary-Jo, Liz, Jessie and Margaret.

Rose is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Fred; 4 children, Susan Finley (Bob), Brenda Kenney (Brent), Ann Miskimen (Virgil) and Fred Canam (Ann); 6 grandchildren, Ross, Matthew, John, Jessica, Michael and Heather; 5 great grandchildren, Dylan, Lily, Alaina, Kassandra and Ella; 1 sister, Florence Kowal and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol, on Monday, April 20, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 11:00 am from St. Leo's Catholic Church, Florenceville, with Fr. Owen Burns as celebrant. Interment will be held in the adjoining church cemetery at a later date. For those who wish donations may be made to the Food Bank.
