Norman Comeau
The death of Joseph Norman Comeau of Juniper occurred on Tuesday, April 20, 2015 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Born December 9, 1929 in Leech, NB he was the son of the late Damien and Elizabeth (Brideau) Comeau. He was also predeceased by his wife, Louise (Nee Richard) Comeau; 1 brother, Jules and his adopted parents, Lena and Clavis Comeau.

Norman was a decorated Veteran of the Korean War. Norman was in the 2nd Battalion and was the first to arrive in Korea, serving there from May 4 1951 to April 24, 1952.

Norman is survived by his 8 children, Sandra Kenney (Wayne), Theresa Gauvin, Franklin Comeau, Lawrence Comeau, Linda Rideout (Richard), Peggy Comeau, Denis Comeau (Elva) and Lorraine Nason (Donald); 22 grandchildren, Michael Kenney, Steven Kenney, Patricia Hanson, Cindy Kenney, Travis Gauvin, Jamie Gauvin, Tammy Clark, Chantal Comeau, Jonathan Comeau, Sherry Payne, Daniel Comeau, Alex Comeau, Brandon Comeau, Justin Rideout, Jenna Dyer, Jason Fournier, Rachel Comeau, Erica Comeau, Michelle Greene, Ryan Nason, Christina Lyons and Kayla Lunn; 25 great grandchildren; son in law Andrew Rideout as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Norman was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceivlle-Bristol on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 6-9 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 37 will hold a tribute service at 5:45 pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 1:00 pm from St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bath with Fr. Owen Burns as celebrant. Interment will be held in St. Anthony's Cemetery at a later date. Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation would be appreciated.
