R. Borden Giberson

R. Borden Giberson passed away on May 26, 2015 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Borden was born in Holmesville, NB on March 12, 1916. He was the oldest child of Glasier and Lily (Williams) Giberson.

He will be remembered for his kindness and gentlemanly ways. He and his wife raised their daughters with love and care on the family farm.

He is survived by his wife, Marian (nee Scripture), two daughters, Linda (Paul Hamblin) and Janet; two grandchildren, Claire and Spencer Hargrove; one sister in law, Bernice Giberson; two nephews, Richard Dingee and Warren Giberson; two nieces, Sharon Moffatt and Deborah Dubitzky.

His life was enhanced by the many friends and neighbors he met in his 99 years.

He was predeceased by his brother, Raymond; sister, Janet; brother in law, Harry Dingee; niece, Carol Leah and dear nephew, Robert Dingee.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:00 am from the Holmesville Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Toben Steeves will officiate. A private interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers please give to a charity of the donor’s choice. The family recognizes the Holmesville Free Will Baptist Church as being an important part of Borden’s life. They also recognize the River View Manor for the excellent care that Marian receives daily. Your generosity of spirit will not be forgotten.
