Lena Dawson

Lena Dawson passed away peacefully at the Riverview Manor in Bath, NB on Sunday, July 12th, 2015 Born in Stayleybridge, Cheshire, England, Lena was the daughter of Edward & Jesse Waterhouse. Lena is survived by her family from Slave Lake, AB. They are her son & daughter-in-law, John & Marilyn Dawson, her granddaughter, Diane, grandson-in-law, Troy Smith and Lena's great grandson, Zander Smith.

Lena was pre-deceased by her husband, Charles; her son, Wayne; her grandson, Neal; her parents; her sisters, Annie, Marion & Florence and 1 brother, Edward.

Lena was an active member of the War Brides Association for many years and a lifetime member of the Johnville CWL!!
What did Lena love about her life of almost 105 years? She loved EVERTHING - fish & chips, singing anytime day or night, the Royal family, her many beautiful hats, sunsets on the Saint John River, the rolling hills of her home in Johnville and most of all her family and friends!! We think it is safe to assume she is now drinking tea out of a china cup with all those she loved who had gone before her!

Visitation will be held at the L. R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd., Florenceville-Bristol, NB on Thursday, July 16th from 2:00 to 4:00pm and from 7:00 to 9:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church in Johnville on Friday, July 17th at 10:00am. Fr. Owen Burns and Fr. Bill Brennan as co celebrants.
