Patricia was well known in the community for her many years as an elementary school teacher, having earned her Bachelor of Teaching from UNB in 1980. She began her teaching career in one-room schools in Nerepis, Rosine, Kilburn and Moose Mountain before finally settling at Bath Elementary where she completed nearly 32 years of teaching. There, she touched the lives of many students and created long lasting friendships with her colleagues.

In later years, she had more time to volunteer in the community and in her church. Her pies and bread were favourites at community events and fundraisers. Additionally, there are few people who have not received a card of celebration or condolence stuffed with colourful confetti. These are just a few of the many things that will be dearly missed by family and friends.
