It is with heavy hearts that the family of Dorothy Anna MacKenzie announce her passing at her home on February 1, 2023 at the age of 101.

Dorothy was born in Aberdeen, Carleton Co.; She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Catherine (Wilson) Linder and the wife of the late Wendell MacKenzie who passed away in 2007.

Dorothy was a life member of the Roachville WI and St. Paul’s United Church. She was a member of the Retired New Brunswick Teachers Association, having taught in elementary schools in Windsor, Lewisville, Juniper and Sussex where she retired in 1981. She loved to keep busy, enjoying her time spent quilting, knitting, sewing, reading and her daily crossword puzzles.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She will live on in the hearts of her daughters: Avis McBrine and her husband Ronald (Joe) of Glassville, Jeanne Earle and her husband Arnold of Roachville and Carol MacKenzie and her husband Bryan Whittaker of Oromocto; her grandchildren; Jamie Earle, Tracy Earle, Shane Earle (Shannon), Michael McBrine (Christine) and Sean McBrine (Jennifer); her great grandchildren; Devon, MacKenzie, Hannah and Ethan as well as several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and loving husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Janet O'Neill and by her brother, Murray Linder.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 12-2pm. A service celebrating Dorothy’s life will be immediately following.
