Darlene V. Shaw

On Saturday, September 16, 2023, Darlene Velma Shaw went home to be with her Lord and Savior. Darlene was born June 22, 1942, in Kilburn and was the daughter of the late George and Francis (Rideout) DeLong. She was also predeceased by her beloved husband, Clayton in June of 1999; son in law, Karl Hickey; her siblings, Helen, Marie, Norma, Marilyn,, Maxine Bud, Ripley, Ronnie and Joe.

Darlene is survived by her 4 daughters, Valerie Power (Daniel), Kathy Caldwell (Tony), Nancy Kinney (Mark) and Carla Hansen (Doug); 9 grandchildren, Joel Hickey (Neneth), Daniel Hickey (Melissa), Tiffany Anderson (Ryan), Anthony Caldwell, Tyler Robbins (Erica), Stephanie Ruff (Josh), Melissa Smardon (Joey), Nicholas Hansen and Noah Read; 10 great grandchildren, Ally, Grayson, Aurora, Lennox, Isla, Carly,, Carson, Emelia, Jazz and Bria as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Darlene was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd, Florenceville-Bristol on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, from 12-2 pm. A funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Murray Whitehouse and Rev. H.M. Lewis will officiate. The interment will be in the Lower Windsor Cemetery. For those who wish donations made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
