Lila E. Williams

The death of Lila Elizabeth Williams of Moose Mountain occurred on Friday, September 22, 2023 at the River View Manor, Bath. Lila was born January 13, 1925 in Holmesville and was the daughter of the late Edward and Elsie (Sparks) Hathaway. She was also predeceased by her husband, Floyd; son, Doug; granddaughter, Sara; great granddaughter, Jackie; son in law, Gary Fitzherbert; 6 siblings, Gertie Ruff, Annie Lloyd, Margaret Oakes “Maggie”, Perley Hathaway, Marshall Hathaway and Lewis Hathaway.

Lila is survived by her 9 children, Deryck Williams (Donna), Sharon Fitzherbert (Mike), Brian Williams (Sharyl), Marlene Lamont (Leland), Jack Williams (Mariam), Patsy Williams, Jeanie Giberson (Wayne), June Oakes (Tom) and Andy Williams (Michelle); 24 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Lila was the last member of her immediate family.

Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 1-3 pm. A funeral service will follow at 3:30 pm from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. Pastor Dwayne Broad will officiate. The interment will be in the Wharton Cemetery.
