Gary J. Crouse

It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you of the passing of our dear brother Gary Crouse. He passed away peacefully at Hotel-Dieu of Saint Joseph’s Hospital Perth-Andover, on Saturday, November 18, 2023 in his 73rd year.

Gary was born in Bath, NB and at the age of 12 his family moved to Toronto, Ontario. After graduation he worked at Norampac for 30 plus years. Upon retirement, in 2009 Gary moved back to N.B. and settled in Brookville to be closer to family. Defeating all odds, Gary succumbed to his illness after a lengthy battle.

Gary is predeceased by his parents Walter and Roselphia Crouse, and his older brother Robert. He will be dearly missed by his siblings: Michael (Pauline) Crouse, Cathy (Mike) Wiseman, Donald (Robin) Crouse and Pamela (Andy) Gerdts, plus several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gary enjoyed the beauty and serenity of nature as he sat on his deck hoping for an opportunity to spot some of the wildlife in the country surrounding him. He also loved the beach, fishing and camping, but even more, he loved sharing these things amongst family. He was always in his element when surrounded by those he loved. He will be greatly missed and forever held in our memories as a kind-hearted and loving son, brother, cousin and friend.

A special thank you for the excellent care Gary received from the Doctors and Nurses at the Hotel-Dieu of Saint Joseph’s and Upper River Valley Hospitals, for keeping him comfortable in his final days. Thank you to all of the family and friends who visited or contacted him during his hospital stay.

To honour Gary’s wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation. Arrangements have been made through L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors in Florenceville, N.B. (506) 392-1115. An internment for a private service for family, will take place on Wednesday November 22, 2023 at the Tracey Mills Baptist Church Cemetery, 1092 NB-110, Royalton, N.B., at 11:00 am.
