Charles G. DeMerchant
1945-2024
The death of Charles “Charlie” Gordon DeMerchant of
Florenceville-Bristol occurred on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at the
Saint John Regional Hospital. Charlie was born November 1, 1945 in
Bath and was the son of the late Charles and Grace (Caldwell)
DeMerchant. He was also predeceased by his beloved wife, Patricia and
brother-in-law, Percy Paul.
Charlie is survived by his daughter, Tonya Anderson (Chuck); his beloved grandson, C.J. Anderson; 2 sisters, Doris Millie (Ted) and Marion Paul; several brothers and sisters in law as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 12-2 pm. A funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm from the chapel. Rev. Carl O’Donnell will officiate. The interment will be in the Mineral Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations made to Potato World would be appreciated.
