1938-2024

Florence M. Carlisle
Florence Maude Carlisle of Lower Knoxford began her final journey on March 26, 2024, leaving this world at the Upper River Valley Hospital with her family by her side.

Florence was born September 20, 1938 in Bear Island, NB and was the daughter of the late George and Ella (Ingraham) Carlisle. She was also predeceased by her husband, Edward; sisters, Cora Anderson (Carl) and Faye Dunham (Gordon); 1 brother, Ervine Carlisle.
Florence was a volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society for over 50 years, a member of the Women’s Institute and a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader. She loved to knit, crochet, going camping, she was a professional golf cart driver and just spending time with her family. In her younger years she loved to go dancing with her husband Edward.

Florence is survived by her 5 children, Douglas Carlisle Sr. (Laureen), Alice Pryor (Delbert), Walter Carlisle, Tammy Hachey (Paul) and Dale Carlisle; 6 grandchildren, Douglas Carlisle Jr. (Amy), Andrea Clark (Robert), Darren Carlisle (Katie), Abby Johnston (Daniel), Monique VanRensburg (Daniel) and Blair Pryor; 13 great grandchildren, Ross, Colby, Krystal, Ethan, Cassidy, Ava, Adley, Jaxon, Cohen, Damian, Joseph, Mackenzie and Gerrit.
Florence was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 1-3 pm. A funeral will be held at 3:30 pm from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Andy DeRier will officiate. The interment will be in the Lower Knoxford Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations made to the Lower Knoxford Cemetery or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
