Sandra J. Rattray

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Sandra Jean Rattray (nee White) on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at the Upper River Valley Hospital. Sandra was born on March 28, 1950, in Bath, NB and was the daughter of the late Gerald and Gerldine (Brown) White. She grew up in Greenfield, resided in Lakeville for over four decades and spent her last years in Florenceville-Bristol, NB. Sandra was also predeceased by her beloved husband, Wayne Rattray in 2015.

Sandra is survived by her two children, Lorena Rattray and Ronnie Rattray and her two grandchildren, Winona and Neil Hachey. She was a devoted mother who strived to give her children any educational, athletic and musical opportunities available. Granny was her favourite title and she was always excited to make art with Winona and play farm with Neil. Sandra is also survived by her brother Harold White (Janet), sister Betty Brown as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Sandra was a caring nurse and dedicated 50 years of her life to the profession. She was locally known for making jams, jellies and fruitcakes and enjoyed baking for others. Always up for a chat and a cup of tea, she enjoyed visits and outings with friends. Knitting was another loved hobby along with gardening in the summer.

Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors (207 Burnham Rd, Florenceville-Bristol, NB) on Sunday, June 23 from 1-3pm with funeral to follow at 3:30pm. Rev. Leonard Cousins will officiate. The interment will follow at the Williamstown Cemetery. For those that wish, donations to the Williamstown Cemetery would be greatly appreciated.
