James L. Jackson
The death of James Lewis Jackson “Jim” of Woodstock, NB and formerly of Scotch Settlement, NB occurred on Sunday September 1, 2024 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Jim was born July 29, 1942, at Scotch Lake, NB and was the son of the late Donald and Kathleen (Clarke) Jackson.

Jim is survived by; wife, Rose-Marie (Bell) Jackson; 6 sons, Larry (Sheri), Chris (Lori), Todd (Samantha), Steven (Brenda), Duane and Dan; several grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Dawna Gordon as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jim was a great storyteller, he played guitar and banjo. Jim also wrote poems to celebrate special occasions, and he loved all animals. He liked nothing better than sitting around with friends “shooting the bull” and playing music.

Respecting Jim’s wishes a casual graveside service (no neck ties) will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the Scotch Settlement Cemetery. Rev. David Luker will officiate. A reception will follow at the Scotch Settlement Union Church.
