Monica G. Dugan
The death of Monica Gertrude Dugan of Moose Mountain occurred on Monday, September 2, 2024, at the River View Manor, Bath surrounded by her family. Monica was born May 2, 1937, in Killoween and was the daughter of the late Charles and Genevieve (Dooley) Gallagher. She was also predeceased by her husband Richard “Leroy” Dugan; 1 infant son, Daniel Charles; 1 grandson, Joel Pelkey; 8 siblings, Walter, Edmund, Helen, Mary, Winnifred, Donnie, Gerald and Gregory.

Monica is survived by 11 children, Carol Pelkey (Alden), Florence Dugan, Bernard Dugan, Susan Briggs (Gus), Louise Bettle (Fred), Barbara Dugan, Brian Dugan (Kelly), Steven Dugan, Daniel Dugan (Sarah-Mae), Lorraine Pickard (Clarence) and Troy Dugan; 19 grandchildren, Kyle, Tiffany, Cary Ann, Macauley (Kaitlynn), Avery, Kristen, Emily, Hayley, Alex, Justin, Olivia (Nathan), Lauryn (Tyler), Jacob, Annie (Isaac), Sabrina, Gage, Logan, Jodi and Daniel; 1 sister, Marilyn Denny (Ken) as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Mum was an avid knitter, card player, quilter, baker and bingo player. She was especially well known for her donuts. She was always keen and up for a game of cards, anytime, anywhere!
Her wit was always sharp, but often accompanied by a twinkle in her eye. She came from and had a large family. Family gatherings and traditions were always of great importance to her.

Visitation will be held from St. John the Evangelist Church, Johnville on Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 6-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 11 am from the church. Fr. Anthony Ekpe will officiate. The interment will follow in the Johnville Cemetery. Donations made to the St. John the Evangelist Church, Johnville Cemetery or the River View Manor would be appreciated.

Monica's family would like to thank the nurses and staff of River View Manor for the care shown to their mom during her stay.
